I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After graduating from the Legal & Public Affairs Academy at Coral Reef Senior high school, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies, with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. Following completion of my undergraduate studies, I moved to North Carolina, where I received my law degree from Charlotte School of Law.

During my time in law school, I served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Patrick A. White of the Southern District of Florida, United States District Court, as well as a legal intern for Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.

Upon Admission to Florida Bar, I served as an Assistant Regional Counsel at the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, Third Region for two years. Thereafter, my experience includes automobile liability matters, premises liability matters, first party property claims, and family law matters.

During my free time, I enjoy giving back to my community. Together, with my close friends, we founded I am a Jewel, Inc., a non-profit organization that is geared towards mentoring at-risk adolescent girls. I am also a member of Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association, Miami-Dade Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and Wilkie DFerguson, Jr. Bar Association.
